BRIEF
A villa with a pool shell poured but never finished, and a training room planned as a separate box beside it. The client asked why they were two rooms.
DESIGN RESPONSE
The dividing wall was never built. A skylight was cut above the threshold so the pool and the floor share the same daylight, and the stone deck runs continuously beneath both. Equipment sits on the dry side in a single quiet row; a lacquered column marks the pivot between water and work.
OUTCOME
One room instead of two, and 40 SQM of circulation recovered. The pool is used more in the morning than the equipment is.
